Alexandria Flag Day Commemoration - AYRs

Please join us for our first Alexandria Flag Day commeration on Saturday afternoon, June 14, as we celebrate the 231st birthday of Old Glory and the freedoms it represents.

We'll also collect items for care packages to be sent to the brave U.S. troops serving overseas.

Date: Saturday, June 14 

Time: 3 pm 
Where: Market Square

King St. & N. Fairfax, Alexandria [Old Town] 
in front of City Hall - see map)

Please bring: Items for care packages

  • Dry or canned food - instant coffee, tea bags, Kool Aid, crackers, cookies, cereal, soup, candy, chex mix, granola bars
  • Toiletries - shampoo, razors, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, eye drops, sun block, powder, wipes
  • Toys (for gifts to children) - soccer balls, frisbees, socks, hats, shoes, sunglasses, school supplies
